During the late 1960s, when The Doors were at the height of their fame, Jim Morrison purchased a concho belt from Wayne and Irma Bailey of Albuquerque. This iconic belt was crafted by Joe H. Quintana. While no one knows exactly what became of the original following Morrison’s untimely death, renewed interest in The Doors and Jim Morrison has made the “Morrison Concho Belt” highly sought after by serious collectors.

The Mr Mojo Risin belt is, we believe, the closest replica of the original available today. We have made these belts for Robby Krieger of The Doors, who owns one in his personal collection, as well as leading tribute acts around the world, including The Ultimate Doors and many more.

The belt is made from premium-quality 3.5mm buffalo leather. The buckle weighs approximately 150g and measures 103.8mm x 86.6mm. Each concho measures 80.2mm x 101mm and weighs approximately 80g. The buckle is secured with leather straps, in the traditional style used by Native Americans. Crafted from .999 fine silver, the metal contains 99.9% pure silver with only trace impurities.
